What can you expect?
ONE
A full 8 hours of learning + workshop time, which will include lots of hands on work with your actual flash gear (bring it please!), or the gear that I have for you to try.
TWO
Both a studio and a real home setting to practice lighting different locations.

A small group (6 people total) so that you get plenty of one-on-one time and practice.

I'm a San Francisco Bay Area based photographer for vibrant couples and creative brands. My work is colorful, bright, and full of joy!
I also teach other photographers how to achieve my signature style through digital courses, editing presets, guides, mentoring, and free education!

Do i need to have photography experience?
You don't have to be a professional photographer, but you'll need to feel comfortable using your digital camera on full manual mode.
What will I learn?
You'll learn all about how to use flash and make it look natural (or manipulate it however you'd like). You'll also learn Sarah's personal framework for how to approach any situation and know what to do to get the light that you love!
Will food be provided?
Yup! No need to pack any meals as I will have lunch and snacks ready for you! Let me know if you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions.
How many people will be attending?
There will be a maximum of 6 attendees. This will allow everyone to have plenty of hands on time and individual attention from me.
where will the workshop be held?
The workshop will be held on April 20, 2024 at 2 locations in the San Francisco Bay Area so you can have a variety of backdrops to practice with. We'll start at Creative Space Studios in Dublin, CA at 9 am; and end at a private home in Oakland, CA at 5 pm. Exact addresses will be provided as the date gets closer, and you'll need your own transportation between the locations.
Do i need to have my own flash gear?
Ideally you would bring your own gear so you can learn how to use what you have! But I will also have a few other options for you to try and test out if you don't have your own yet.
